LINDOS

Lindos, with its' whitewashed buildings, golden sandy beaches (of which there are three) and crystal sea is the jewel in the crown of Rhodes.

The narrow winding streets, full of shops, restaurants and bars are closed to traffic, allowing one to enjoy the charming and leisurely island life all the more.

High above Lindos stands the acropolis dating from the 4th century BC and in the heart of the village is the 14th century Church of our Lady (Panagia). The church is decorated with a pebble mosaic (hohlaki) floor and marvellous 18th century frescoes.
